Prism Health North Texas provides healthcare for more than 17,000 people each year. As a community health center, we care for uninsured and limited income patients, but the cost of making care accessible isn't covered by insurance or public funding alone.

Healing Begins with Compassion
Gavin found PHNTX about a year ago after being laid off and learning his insurance was about to lapse. With only 30 days of medication coverage left, he needed help figuring out what came next.
Pharmacy technician Ashley stepped in. When delays threatened his prescription, she worked with Gavin and his insurance provider to make sure he received his medication.
Since then, Gavin has had reliable access to his medicine and found something just as meaningful: a sense of connection. “They’re like my family,” he said. “They know my name, and that’s so important. That makes a difference.”
Every six months, the PHNTX team helps Gavin re-enroll so he can continue receiving his medication. Even though delivery is available, he still chooses to pick it up in person. “I love to go into the office and see them.”
